These terms govern your use of the Deck Garden website, app, and Marketplace — whether you're here to explore decks or to publish your own.

Welcome to Deck Garden. By using our website, app, or Marketplace (the “Service”), you agree to these Terms of Service (the “Terms”). Please read them carefully. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service. Part A applies to everyone; Part B adds terms for creators who publish decks.
You must be old enough to form a binding contract in your jurisdiction (and at least 13, or the minimum age in your region) to use the Service. To publish a deck as a creator, you must be at least 18. You agree to provide accurate information and to keep your account secure.
Deck Garden is a platform for building, sharing, and using card-based oracle, affirmation, and tarot-style decks across iOS and Android. Features may include card draws, spreads, journaling, slideshows, audio, card alerts, a creator Pack Builder, and a Marketplace of decks made by independent creators. We may add, change, or remove features at any time.
Some decks and features are free; others are paid one-time purchases or recurring subscriptions. Many decks offer a free trial period. Purchases and subscriptions are processed by Apple (App Store) and Google (Google Play) and are subject to their terms. Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled; you can manage or cancel them in your App Store or Google Play account settings. Refunds for purchases are handled according to Apple's and Google's store policies.
Marketplace decks are produced by independent creators, not by Deck Garden. We do not endorse, and are not responsible for, the content, accuracy, or quality of any individual deck. Opinions and guidance expressed in decks are those of their creators.
Deck Garden decks are tools for reflection, inspiration, and entertainment. They are not a substitute for professional medical, psychological, legal, financial, or other advice. Always seek the guidance of a qualified professional for important decisions.
You agree not to misuse the Service. This includes not: violating any law; infringing others' rights; uploading harmful, abusive, deceptive, or illegal content; attempting to access accounts or data that are not yours; reverse-engineering, scraping, or disrupting the Service; or circumventing payment, entitlement, or security mechanisms.
You retain ownership of content you create, including journal entries and any decks you build. Journal entries and personal notes are stored on your device and in your personal backups. You are responsible for the content you upload and for having the rights to use it.
The Deck Garden name, logo, app, website, and underlying software are owned by Deck Garden and protected by intellectual-property laws. Except as allowed by these Terms, you may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works from them without our permission.
Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which explains what we collect and how we use it.
The Service is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied, or statutory, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Deck Garden will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, profits, or goodwill, arising from your use of the Service.
We may modify or discontinue the Service, and we may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or applicable policies. You may stop using the Service at any time.
We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes take effect after we post the updated Terms here (and, for creators, 30 days after notice as described below). Continued use of the Service after the effective date means you accept the updated Terms.
If you publish a deck to the Marketplace, the following additional terms apply. By submitting a deck and paying the submission fee, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to these Marketplace Terms for Creators.
You must be at least 18 years old to submit a deck. You must own, or have permission to use, all content you submit, including images, text, audio, code, and other materials. You must provide accurate information when registering and keep it up to date.
You may not create accounts in jurisdictions sanctioned by the United States Treasury (OFAC), including but not limited to Iran, North Korea, Syria, Cuba, and the Crimea, Donetsk, and Luhansk regions of Ukraine.
Each deck submission requires a $29.99 non-refundable fee. This fee applies whether your deck is free or paid. The fee is paid via in-app purchase and is subject to Apple's and Google's payment terms.
The submission fee is a one-time charge per deck. Updates, revisions, and new versions of your deck — including content edits, artwork changes, added cards, and other modifications — are free of charge for as long as your deck remains in the Marketplace. Launch window: for the first 30 days after your initial submission, all updates are free. After this window, any applicable standard update fee applies. All updates are subject to the same automated content moderation as the original submission.
Decks are published to the Marketplace immediately upon successful submission. Submissions are scanned by automated content moderation; decks flagged by this system may be held for manual review before publishing.
Deck Garden reserves the right to review, restrict, or remove any deck at any time, with or without notice, including for violations of these Terms, the Creator Guidelines, or Apple's or Google's platform policies.
For paid decks, creators receive 70% of net revenue. Deck Garden retains 30% of net revenue as the marketplace fee. Net revenue means the amount Deck Garden actually receives from Apple or Google after their platform fees and any refunds.
Example: if a deck sells for $10 and Deck Garden receives $8.50 from Apple, the creator earns $5.95 (70% of $8.50) and Deck Garden retains $2.55 (30% of $8.50). Apple's and Google's platform fee rates may change without notice; the 70/30 share is calculated against whatever Deck Garden actually receives. Sales reversed due to refunds or chargebacks are deducted from your earnings. Free decks do not generate payouts.
Earnings are paid monthly once your balance reaches $10 USD. Balances below $10 roll over to the next payout period. Earnings from a given calendar month are paid in the following month, typically by the 15th. Creators receive payouts via PayPal and must complete any required account setup before payouts can be sent. You may update your payout details once every 30 days.
If you have not connected a payout method or completed required tax forms, your earnings will accumulate but cannot be paid out. Earnings unpaid for 12 months due to incomplete account setup may be subject to dormancy handling per applicable law. Any payout-provider fees charged for sending your payout may be deducted from your earnings.
Creators are responsible for any taxes related to their earnings. Deck Garden will provide a yearly earnings report for your records.
You may not submit content that is illegal, abusive, infringing, deceptive, sexually explicit, harmful, or otherwise violates Deck Garden's rules or Apple's or Google's platform policies. Prohibited content includes, without limitation: harassment, hate speech, content that inappropriately targets minors, malware or security exploits, content that violates user privacy, and impersonation.
You are responsible for ensuring your deck complies with all applicable laws in jurisdictions where it is offered, including but not limited to GDPR, CCPA, COPPA, and applicable accessibility requirements. Specific examples of prohibited and required content are described in the Creator Guidelines, which are incorporated by reference into these Terms.
You keep ownership of your deck and its content. By submitting your deck, you grant Deck Garden a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free, sublicensable, transferable license to host, display, promote, and distribute your deck within the Marketplace and in Deck Garden marketing. This license continues with respect to copies already distributed, even after your deck is withdrawn from the Marketplace.
Customer refunds are handled according to Apple's and Google's store policies. Refunded sales are deducted from your earnings. The $29.99 submission fee is non-refundable. If refunds or chargebacks cause your balance to become negative, the negative amount is deducted from future earnings.
Deck Garden may suspend, remove, or reject any deck or creator account at any time if these Terms, content rules, or platform policies are violated. Earnings accrued before account suspension may be held pending investigation of policy violations. Earnings determined to result from fraudulent activity may be forfeited.
You may request removal of your deck from the Marketplace at any time. Any unpaid approved earnings will be included in the next payout cycle if your account is eligible. Buyers who have already purchased your deck retain access even after you withdraw it; withdrawing stops new sales but does not entitle existing buyers to refunds.
Deck Garden may update these creator Terms from time to time. Material changes take effect 30 days after notice is provided to creators by email or in-app notification. Continued participation in the Marketplace after the effective date means you accept the updated Terms.
